Fine wines & spirits

All products are strictly limited in quantity (approx. 1,000 bottles per label), allowing us to retain a high & fine quality as well as authenticity in each and every Wine & Spirit we produce, whilst ensuring the exclusivity of the experiences the brand offers to its clients.  Selected Rare Vintages and Single Barrel Editions are available solely at the Winery. For accessing some among them, being a loyal customer/member might be required. Whilst visiting us, you can always ask for new products/rare editions that they are not included in our main portfolio, published in this website.

The brand’s signature product, “The ‘Anama Vintages” (a naturally sweet and aged wine that has an ongoing aging potential in the bottle of 40+ years) was essential in building ‘Anama’s entire design concept and brand identity. Therefore, each and every bottle is numbered by hand-punching the digits on a sterling silver disk, adding additional collectable value to the product. The materials used for the bottle design are also carefully selected and used in order to create a 'jewel' that will adorn a collector's wine cave through time. 

The rest of the Wines & Spirits that complete the brand’s portfolio, are also meticulously designed & handcrafted in-line with the brand’s concept of exclusivity, and are more than often a conversation starter among wine enthusiasts around the globe, who appreciate rare, indigenous finesse & authenticity.

As for the winemaking, oenologist Lefteris Mohianakis derives his oenological inspiration from his experience of winemaking in different countries and regions.  Thus, the “takings” of every harvest are exploited in a different protocol each year, and so each vintage is different and currying hidden information about the conditions and characteristics of the year preceding it, for any experienced taster to distinguish. Following a scientific vinification, and having more or less replaced technology with techniques, our wines are made with natural approach and minimum interventions.  Aging into oak barrels of various types and sizes, made from French, Caucasian and American oak, is applied for the wines that need to further evolve through time.  


WINEMAKER’S NOTE:  All 'Anama Wines and Spirits are subjected to the least possible oenological treatments, in order to preserve the characteristics of each year's crop as accurately as possible. Sophisticated, fine and clean, some of these wines can be freshly consumed (whites/roses/light reds), others though can age in the bottle from a few years up to several decades (oak matured whites/deeper reds/’Anama Vintages). The limited annual production, alongside the organoleptic interest, the long aging potential and the unique characteristics of each Vintage, not to mention the overall elegant design, have created a high collectible value for each bottle, which increases with each year of aging. All Fine Wines & Spirits that we produce, are exclusively made from ancient, indigenous grape varieties and treated in the same manner / methodology of naturalness, terroir expression & personal care.  

 

'Anama Vintages

All 'Anama Vintages, that have so far been released, are non-fortified, naturally sweet wines, aged in selected oak barrels for as long as each individual vintage requires. They are subjected to the least possible oenological treatments, in order to preserve the characteristics of each year's crop as accurately as possible. Sophisticated, fine and clean, these wines can age in the bottle for several decades. The limited annual production and numbering of the bottles, alongside the organoleptic robustness, the long aging potential and the unique characteristics of each Vintage, not to mention the overall elegant design, have created a high collectible value for each bottle, which increases with each year of aging.

OUSIA Fine Island Spirits

OUSIA is a fine, oak matured spirit of sundried grapes, made following a long and adventurous process in which the use of machinery is minimum //

The old mountainous vineyard is cultivated solely by hand & tools and the fine, hand-picked indigenous grapes are naturally sundried for several weeks under the warm autumn sun //

The crisp winter that follows, prolongs skin contact and fermentation , enriching the vin de raisins with complexity and finesse. An old copper distillation pot is used to distinguish the core spirit, which is then matured in an old barrique, previously previously used for aging 'Anama Vintages & Single Barrel Vintages.

All 'Anama products that are available in a giftbox edition come in a luxury handmade box, including the 'Anama brand profile booklet with an incorporated signed Certificate of Authenticity. The booklet also gives our clients the opportunity to customise the gift by writing their name, the name of the gift recipient and the occasion on which the product was ordered.
